Step 1:Topic selection
Choose an interesting topic. This is the most basic head start for your write up and an essential step. If you have a broad topic in mind for article writing, make sure you narrow it. Try choosing specific topics which makes your job easier to tackle and lucid.
Go a step further and make a rough draft which includes all your thought points. Don’t get too much into details and analytics while making a structure of information. This will be a backbone to depend on.

Step 2:Address pain-points of audience
Further, revisit your writing. Empathize with your readers and try to get a perspective with your imagination. Pick your target audience-like single women, men, children etc.
Step 3:Back with deep Research
A deep analytical researched and fact based article are always filled with relevant information catering to the knowledge thirst of target audience. Try backing it through :
o Quote popular ,historical people.
o Numerical data or Statistics
o Authentic definitions.
o Anecdotes
o Famous examples
o External references
o Local or event references
o Helpful tools or products
Compile everything you have gathered in a folder, electronic document etc. Keep a record of resources where you filter information from for using as references. Just go about assimilating information which you feel is intuitively “right”.
Step 4:Draft-Tightening
Whatever you do , the central idea is to streamline information according to the target audience. Drafting a strict base is vital for supporting information collected. Sometimes you may prefer to revamp your entire idea for addressing your audience.
While skimming through your draft, try to ask – Is it working? ,Does it add value?, Does it answer the pain points of readers?, Is it clear?
If you feel it’s not relevant , or unclear, try to read published, highly visited write ups and understand how those writers employ the ideas.
Step 5:Be specific
It’s equally important to review and double-check every step included in the process of producing an article. You have to make sure you deliver exactly what your reader is looking for.
If you write-up is all over the place and loaded with information, try and break it into concise points with subheadings. Synthesizing information is crucial for online content writing.
Step 6: Read, Revise and Repeat
Revise the draft of your article and redo if anything required. Use your best judgement to understand and decide the new inputs or changes if required. Skim through the points well.
